How to style your favorite cardigan to be versatile and functional
Back in October while attending LA Market week, my husband Scott and I came across this AMAZING cardigan from Pink Martini. Honestly, aside from the gorgeous cashmere cardigan purchased by my husband as a gift while in Mongolia for work, I have never felt a cardigan that is so soft AND as a bonus, could double as a jacket. We totally found this by accident and I am so glad we did!
This is a very functional, versatile piece. It can be dressed up, dressed down, and double as a jacket for those chilly days. It is certainly an investment piece, but one that is classy and will be with you for years to come.
Wear to work
It doesn’t matter if your office environment is casual, corporate casual, or dressy, this cardigan can do it all. I happen to work in an office that is corporate casual, however, based on your role AND your day, it can elevate to dressy. I feel confident that no matter the day, this cardigan will work well in any environment.
Below are a few ways I would wear this to the office. Trousers, dresses, and skirts...it can be done!
Paired with wide-leg trousers and blouse
Styled with the Leith ruched dress and boots
Worn with a pencil skirt, cami, and heels
Outside office hours
So you’ve seen it paired with classic office looks, but how about jeans, joggers, and athleisure? Yep, all possible and super cute.
Paired with Dear John denim, t-shirt, and tall boots
Styled with black Paige denim, OTK boots, and ASTARS blouse
Paired with Level99 distressed denim, plaid shirt, and Vince Camuto booties
Styled with joggers, Chaser Brand camo long-sleeve, and Adidas
Worn with joggers, vintage t-shirt, and Vans
If your wardrobe is anything like mine, it needs to be multi-functional, as I simply don’t have the disposable income to purchase one-off pieces all of the time. This over-sized cardigan is a real winner. I wish you could touch it as it truly is a weighty, substantial piece – hence why I had to have it!
