FALL(ing) For Fashion

As summer comes to an end and we’re on the cusp of fall, I can’t help but dread the month of September. September is such a tricky month to dress for—it’s starting to cool down in the mornings and evenings, but can be so hot mid day. Luckily, there are a few ways to style your every day looks so that you’re staying cool and trendy.

My favorite part of fall is always the rich warm colors. We see them on trees, in home decorations and some of our favorite blouses and sweaters.

Although this sweater is a bit thicker and might need to be worn later on in the season, its rich dijon color is stunning and will pair well with classic denim and black denim. Layer it over a collared button down shirt for a chic, modern prep style.

Gentle Fawn Paris Pullover Sweater

The color alone on this Paris Pullover Sweater emulates what the fall season is about—leaves changing, pumpkin spice, and so much more. This sweater is the perfect compliment to our Reality Check Pencil Skirt during the week and then our sleek Mia High Rise Skinny Jeans with high boots or heels on the weekend.

Velvet Heart Riley Terra White Stripe Blouse

For something that is lighter weight but still under the umbrella of fall colors, this Riley Terra White Stripe Blouse by Velvet Heart is perfect. You can front tuck it into jeans, trousers or even jean shorts for a more casual look. This button up can also be tied in front to give a crisper waistline.

Lace bralettes

Layering up for fall has always been key, but with everyone wearing bralettes as tops, this has got to be one of my favorite ways to go for a bold, sexy look. Add a leather jacket, blazer, or cardigan on top and pair with high-waisted denim to give you an edgy, bombshell look perfect for date night, or just a night out with the girls.

Lace Trim Cami

Simplify this look with a basic lace front cami for every day wear or work appropriate style. The tucked in cami will accentuate natural features and throwing on a leather jacket will still give you an edge to your look.

Speaking of leather jackets, I hope I’m not alone in thinking that a leather jacket is one of the best staples to any fall/winter wardrobe. We’ve all probably had our traditional black or brown leather or vegan leather jacket hanging in our closets for a few years now, so why not mix it up with a splash of color on a classic body?

Faux Leather Jacket

A trendy update to a classic moto jacket, but soft to the touch. This Trent Faux Leather jacket will add a red-hot flair to any outfit and is completely machine washable!

Lysse Bea Faux Suede Jacket

One of my all time favorite jackets, the rich color will have all eyes on you. This is the perfect jacket to ease into non-traditional colored jackets. Beautiful in color and fit, it is an essential for the fall & winter season. Oh....it's machine washable too!
