5 Wedding Guest Wardrobe Ideas

Fireworks, corn on the cob, and watermelon always make me think of summer. I also relate weddings with summer too, and for good reason. Did you know that 78% of all weddings take place between May and October? Wow!! And June, September, and October are the most popular months for weddings (accounting for 45% of the weddings annually and 38% for September and October alone), which means...there is a high likelihood that you will be a guest at one of these upcoming nuptials. So, I guess summer+fall = weddings after all.

Now that we’ve established the likelihood of you attending a wedding in the next two months to be high, this usually leads to the following question, “what should I wear”? If you’re like me, you hate buying for a single event. If your also like me, you will search high and low for items that are versatile, that can be worn beyond the “I Do’s”. Lucky for you, I’ve found five fabulous outfits that can be worn beyond the wedding. These outfits are perfect for a wedding as well as the office, date night, or even brunch with your best gal pals.

We are counting down our favorite wedding guest outfits from five to one. What do you think our favorite will be? Keep reading to find out!

#5 Wide Stride Trousers

Okay, you do not need a wide stride to wear these and....yes, you totally can wear trousers to a wedding. Now, it's formal or black tie, then maybe not; however, the vast majority of weddings and receptions are not formal or black tie - lucky for you! As such, a gorgeous trouser, blouse, and pearls will knock it out of the park. Think Breakfast At Tiffany’s meets Working Girl. Chic and polished, this look can go from wedding to office in a flash.

Looking for the perfect trouser? We have you covered. If you have a longer inseam, we love our Wide Stride Tie Waist trousers by BB Dakota or the Varick Slim Bootcut by Ecru. If you prefer slim and ankle length, then our Scalloped Ankle Trouser by Lysse is perfect. For a pop of color (not your basic black), we highly recommend the Britt Ankle trouser. The Britt trouser is a skinny fit and has great stitch lace detail on the outside seam. Bold and beautiful, these trousers will certainly turn heads. Now, if wide leg, crop is more your speed, then  the Flare Slit Crop by Lysse is the one for you. The leg has great flow, making it unique, but what's best, these trousers are SO COMFORTABLE. You can dance all night in these and then wake up in the AM and head to work.

#4 The A-Line Dress

Simple, classic, and understated, an A-line is perfect for almost any occasion. Dress it up with statement jewelry, heels, and a clutch. For a more casual look, add a long cardigan, fun belt, and flats. For the office, throw on a blazer and simple jewelry.

In need of that perfect A-Line dress? We have two great options. The first is a classic style but has a fun back zipper detail. The Sloan Dress by Kensie is a great option that is extremely versatile. Wear with a fun animal print belt, cardigan and booties for the office, and then for a wedding, add pearls and heels. Simple and chic. The other option is our Angie Square Neck by Cupcakes & Cashmere. With a subtle angled sleeve and square neckline, this dress is very sexy, yet understated.

#3 The Midi Dress

Round neck, slight cap sleeve, and pleating, the Tiffany Pleated Dress is sophisticated and elegant. Add a belt to accentuate your waistline while giving the dress some pizzazz. Want to make a statement, we love pairing this dress with over-sized, statement earrings and bracelet. For the office, pair with flats, cardigan or blazer. For an edgy, chic look, throw on some white sneakers, and a denim shirt tied in a knot or...wrap a white sweatshirt around you waist.

#2 Snakeskin print...anything

We are loving that the animal and reptile print is continuing into the fall because we simply cannot get enough of it. We have three snakeskin prints that are sure to turn heads while elevating your outfit to an ultra chic level.

Pair our Craft Snakeskin Shell with a simple pencil skirt or wide-leg trousers, heels, and necklace for your next wedding. Add a long cardigan and booties for the office, and then wear with black denim, booties, and a denim jacket for the weekend.

Mariela Snakeskin jumpsuit and Wrap It Up Snakeskin Dress. Ok, these pieces are definitely a MUST. Wear them with heels, a clutch, and a wrap for a sophisticated look. Then ditch the heels for flats and pair with a blouse tied in a knot. Don’t forget the sneakers & sweatshirt...these pieces can be dressed down for a edgy, fun look.
