3 Ways to Wear a Blazer From Work to Weekend

Forget the image from any 1990's movie that stars Julia Roberts where she is wearing a "man's suit jacket". Over-sized, too big for her small frame, and the shoulder pads!!!. Let's not forget about those large, "linebacker-like" shoulder pads. The image still haunts me and quite honestly, those blazers were never figure flattering and chic. Luckily, we now have a plethora of available options for us lovely ladies that will help us achieve a chic, power look without compromising our feminine figures.

Every where you turn, I see blazers. Some long, some short. Some are boyfriend cut, others are slim fit, but one thing I do know, regardless of cut, blazers are on trend and can be worn year round, thus becoming a MUST HAVE wardrobe essential. Not only are they ultra chic and classic, they are incredibly versatile. I have had several people ask me how to wear a blazer outside of work, so that's why I decided to write this blog. Essentially, many are not sure how to transition their favorite blazer to after work hours. No worries, we have you covered! Below I show you some of my favorite ways to style a blazer from work to weekend. I have even included a short video with one of my FAVORITE fitting blazers. I hope this provides you with some outfit inspiration.

Kensie Crepe Blazer Styled 3 Ways

Option 1 - Office Chic:

For a pop of color and to create an office chic look, we paired the Kensie Blazer in Cayenne with our Sakura Jumpsuit by Veronica M. Pair this entire ensemble with fun heels and a simple necklace.

 Option 2 - Polished Casual:

For a fun casual Friday look (or date night), we love the Kensie Blazer paired with our fun "Genuine Parts" graphic tee, KUT From The Kloth Catherine Boyfriend jeans, and sneakers. You can even swap the jeans for a pair of paperbag trousers and heels for the office for a super fun look!

Option 3 - Weekend Chic:

Dinner plans with friends, maybe date night, or an outdoor concert? When the sun goes down, it can sometimes get a bit chilly, which is why we love pairing the Kensie Blazer with our Dear John Hampton Trouser Shorts and our Babydoll Pom Pom Top by Bishop and Young. We love all white for summer and the pop of color with this fun blazer is great. It's lightweight and perfect for those summer nights!
